ᴥ Beauty: How to not losing your lipstick.

.. or make the lipstick last longer, you may say.

If you ever read my confession of confusion about lipstick resistance on my lips (click here if you're interested to read - in bahasa Indonesia, though), I've done a little research about it.

A few days ago, one of my new friends complimented me from seeing my lipstick were still on the lips after I wudhu in the afternoon. "Why was it still there?" she asked. But instead of explaining technically, since in fact it was off a bit, I said nothing. Not because I didn't care but I didn't know what should react as if there were complimenting me. Not to brag, but this was not the first time my friend gave good comment. And also, I thought I ever gave some tips but friends made a fun of it. So next time I got good comment, I kept silent.

But just in case if you wonder how to mantain the color to your lips, I have three tips you can try.

1. Lipstick isn't honey
It's obviously. But in middle school, my friend licked lips when she tried her first lipbalm. "It's not tasty!" she commented. Of course! They're not meals. The same rule goes to lipstick. I don't lick it.

2. Eat carefully
This can be pleasure and torture at the same time. Torture: I have to avoid touching meals to my lips. I can't eat banana and leave a rim of lipstick around the periphery of the fruit and then eating it (like what Molly Young said. Solution? Use lipbalm instead or wipe off the lipstick). Pleasure: after those ridiculous and embarrassing acts, the lipstick is still on my lips! My personal opinion, you have to master it, especially if you want to be beautiful chef who appears on MasterChef Indonesia (0:23) show.

3. Ssst! Re-apply!
If the colour of lipstick on the lips has been off a bit, I re-apply it. If it's possible to re-apply without ruining the whole texture (on the lips), go ahead. If it will ruin, I wipe it with tissue and re-apply. But since I don't lick my lips, I don't do it often.

I have survived some tube of lipstick with these tips using Caring Colours Happy Lip Colour in Bronze Nude, Wardah Matte Lipstick in Bronze Nude and Cocoa Look, and Wardah Exclusive Lipstick in Light Rose and Rosewood. Unfortunately, it's not for sheer colour lipstick as they come off easily, although I have to make an exception for Sariayu Lipstik Imut in Serimpi (06) as it's quite a fighter. :)
