Hello happy girls!
I am 20 years old and never buy bra by myself before. Don’t get me wrong. Not that I don’t want to buy it by myself, but there are something that make me don’t want to do this. I have several reasons. First, lots of underwear sections are located near clothes section in a department store (nit in separated ROOM, away from boys). Second, why do I always think people grin when they know another people buying underwear? (Not only me, I asked my friends and they think the same)That’s why I don’t buy by myself. Besides, my mom –almost– always buys bra before I ask her (Yeah, I know. What coincidence, right?)
I went to department store yesterday with my friend to buy bra. I usually wear *bra size*. Bra that I was looking for is bra with U wire and I found it with too many options. There were many sizes, colours, and models. And my *bra size* was pretty hard to find (I don’t have any clues why, mine is average). Then after pretty long time of looking for, I found what I wanted. Although I saw the cups are a bit smaller than mine, I bought it because it’s labeled my bra size.
And you know what? The straps is okay but not with the cups. The cups not fit with my boobs. It is too small. The wire hurt my skin. And I was like trying so hard to make my boobs look like boobs with push up bra. Doh! My fault! I didn’t follow instruction that I usually read on internet or magazine about how to find the perfect bra size. So girls, don’t be like me!
Speaking of bra size and how to find your bra, I read on internet: 80% women wear the wrong bra size. Whoa! And that is included me. Don’t ever be like me. Here are some tips how to find your bra size from fashionesedaily. I hope it can help you.
Here is how you should measure your bra size. Always measure without a bra on or with a bra made from thin material (so don’t measure yourself with a push up bra on).
Plus-plus tips from Femme:
Here is how you should measure your bra size. Always measure without a bra on or with a bra made from thin material (so don’t measure yourself with a push up bra on).
- It all starts with the band size. Take a tape measure and measure right under your bust line all the way around on you ribcage, as you can see from the picture. Pull the tape measure tight and look up your under band measurement in the chart.
- Second is your cup size. To find out what cup size you have measure all the way around the largest part of your chest, as you can see in the picture (line 2). Most often the line is measured over the nipple and you should hold the tape measure loosely. After measuring look up your cup size in the chart. So if for example your under band measurement is 72cm and your cup size measurement is 87cm, your bra size is 32C.
Plus-plus tips from Femme:
- When you put the bra on, the straps shouldn’t be too tight or too loose, you should be able to put your fingers and pull it, by doing that u know if it’s too tight or too loose.
- The back should sit one straight line align with the front. Try to raise both of your arms up in the air, the back shouldn’t be riding up, if it’s riding up then you’ll know you’re wearing the wrong bra. Also when you do this, there shouldn’t be gaps more than one finger in between your breasts and the wire.
- With lifting both of your arms up in the air, this will help to differentiate your breast n your fat underneath your armpit, therefore you should be able to see if your breasts are actually sitting perfectly on the wire.
- The cup should sit perfectly with no crease and it shouldn’t be cutting your breast.
- The cup in 32D is not the same with 34D. People always assume that they’re the same size since they’re both D size. But what people don’t know bra companies adjusting the cup size with size of body.
