Aloha! I want to share. Some time ago I challenged myself to like some musics outside my taste (beyond the usual music I listen to). I want to be lovers of all music. I want to be an objective, not subjective. I want to love the musicians not because they are good looking, but because they have something "good" for me.
I forget when exactly, but last year I started listening to She & Him. She & Him is an Indie/Soul/Pop duo group consisting of Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward [Zooey Deschanel is also known as an actress, has starred in several films like Winter Passing, The Happening, and (500) Days of Summer]. Earlier I read this duo entered in a list of music, but I didn't notice the name of the list. I immediately speculated that this group (She & Him) was formed for this reason that Zooey Deschanel is an actress who wants to try her fortune in music industry without knowing that Zooey Deschanel can sing. So I was curious and downloaded their mp3, listened, and liked it.
She & Him has had two albums, Volume One (2008) and Volume Two (2010). They also fill the original soundtrack (500) Days of Summer with a cover song by The Smiths, titled Please Please Let Me Get What I Want. But not only that, they also have covered I Should Have Known Better (The Beatles), You Really Got A Hold On Me (The Beatles), Gonna Get Along Without You Now (Skeeter Davis), and Ridin 'in My Car (NRBQ) .
