My Holiday Games

Salam! Setelah sempat berperang dengan UAS, akhirnya waktu liburan datang juga. Kalau waktu masih kecil rasanya tiap liburan seneng banget ya. Soalnya waktu liburan anak kecil itu sama dengan waktu main-main anak kecil. Sedangkan waktu liburan remaja atau orang yang beranjak dewasa itu sama dengan waktu pengalihan pikiran dan badan dari rutinitas sehari-hari untuk menghindari kepenatan. Untuk mahasiswa, waktu liburan kadang-kadang bisa jadi waktu paling rendah tingkat produktivitasnya. Hal tersebut disebabkan karena kebanyakan mahasiswa bakal berada di rumah seharian dan tidak mempunyai kegiatan yang berguna sekaligus menyenangkan untuk dilakukan. Misalnya dari bangun pagi, sarapan, bersih-bersih rumah, nonton tv, mandi, makan siang, nonton tv, tidur siang, mandi, nonton tv, makan, nonton tv, tidur. Bayangkan saja kegiatan seperti itu dilakukan secara rutin.. pastilah pada akhirnya kita akan merasa bosan dan bertemu titik kejenuhan.

Nah, saya tidak mau hal-hal seperti itu terjadi di liburan saya sekarang ini. Untuk mengantisipasinya jauh-jauh hari saya sudah menyiapkan beberapa "kerjaan" yang bisa saya lakukan di rumah selama liburan. Saya membeli beberapa buku bacaan dari acara Pesta Buku Murah yang diselenggarakan Gramedia Solo. Buku-buku yang biasanya kita beli dengan harga Rp 50.000,00 sampai Rp 100.000,00 saya dapatkan dengan harga paling mahal Rp 20.000,00. Buku-buku yang saya beli antara lain Wolf Girl, The Free Wee Men, dan Paranoid. Semuanya ditulis oleh penulis luar negeri yang sudah dialihbahasakan ke bahasa Indonesia. Selain itu saya juga sempat mendapat beberapa game yang seru (buat saya indeed) dari teman-teman. Ini beberapa game yang sampai sekarang masih saya mainkan. Game ini sederhana tapi butuh konsentrasi, kemauan, dan ketekunan.

1. Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town

Game Harvest Moon ini saya mainkan pertama kali sekitar tahun 2002. Saya suka dengan game berbasis Role Playing Game (RPG) ini karena kemungkinan terjadi perbedaan jalan cerita sangat besar tergantung kepada pemain dan cara mainnya. Game ini dulu saya mainkan pertama kali dengan Play Stasion bersama sepupu saya. Tapi kemarin saya mendapat game yang sama yang dimainkan melalui game Boy Advance.

Game ini menceritakan tentang seorang pemuda yang melanjutkan usaha kakeknya mengelola sebuah perkebunan. Untuk menghidupkan perkebunan tersebut kembali, kita harus berkebun dan beternak. Hal tersebut tidak lah mudah karena kita harus memikirkan cara untuk mengelola perkebunan sambil harus berusaha membangun hubungan yang baik dengan para penduduk agar suatu saat kita bisa meminta bantuan mereka. Yang saya suka dari game ini adalah adanya jalan cerita yang mengharuskan kita berjuang untuk mencari istri. Untuk menjalankan perkebunan kembali, kita diberi waktu selama tiga tahun. Pada akhir tahun di tahun ketiga, Walikota akan menilai hasil kerja kita .

2. Plants VS Zombies

Game ini bercerita tentang para Zombie yang menyerang kita. Kita bisa memanfaatkan tanaman-tanaman yang mempunyai kekuatan tertentu untuk melawan mereka.

3. Virtual Villagers 3 - The Secret City

Game The Secret Villagers menceritakan beberapa orang yang terdampar di suatu pulau dan mereka harus bertahan hidup memanfaatkan apa yang ada di pulau tersebut. Pada akhirnya kita diminta untuk membangun sebuah peradaban baru. 

4. Mystery Case Files -  Madame Fate

Game hidden object ini berasal dari Big Fish Game bercerita tentang seorang peramal, Madame Fate, yang meramal dirinya sendiri akan mati pada pukul 12 malam. Kita sebagai detektif diminta untuk membantunya mengumpulkan petunjuk-petujuk yang tersembunyi.

Holla! Kegiatan akhir bulan Juni sampai awal bulan Juli ternyata mampu membuat saya tidak merasa tertarik untuk nongkrong di depan komputer. Dari kemarin sebenarnya sudah ngebet mau update blog buat cerita yang sedang terjadi di belahan dunia saya. Tapi selalu berhenti di tengah jalan, kehabisan kata-kata. Padahal saya sudah dapat bahan yang mau diupdate. Ditambah perjuangan online di tengah kerusakan modem (-,-")., ya jadilah saya tidak update apa-apa sampai postingan ini. Dan sekarang saya di sini untuk berbagi site lagi sama teman-teman.

Situs ini saya tahu (lagi-lagi) dari Viona Patricia. Ini semacam situs trivia (atau kuis?) tentang kepribadian seseorang (dalam hal ini the doer sendiri). Saya ambil Tes Is the Glass Half Full or Half Empty. Yang belum kenal saya silakan baca. Mari lebih dekat dengan saya. Tes ini memberi sedikit gambaran tentang siapa saya.

Area X: Hymne Angkasa Raya

Summary of Area X: Hymne Angkasa Raya is taken from Dunia Seni. This book is the first science fiction book that I read, written by Eliza V. Handayani. I borrowed it from my friend about three years ago. For an Indonesian author, it is unusual. Author was only 13 years old when she made this book. Great!

Area X is a "heavy" book. Full of UFO. Set in a sophisticated and futuristic Indonesia. Area X is a ticket for the readers to feel the taste of Indonesia with a different and far more advanced than Indonesia at the present time. The story line a bit hard to follow at the beginning to the middle. The reader felt compelled fully adapt to circumstances that tend to be difficult to imagine.

Area X is one of the special choice of many books from Indonesian authors. This book is far from ordinary and I think readers need to see another side of Indonesia. Click Good Reads to read more comments. Happy reading!
